Pyramids of Giza

The three pyrimads of giza were built from 2575-2465 bce,which was about 4500 years ago.The oldest and largest pyramid,also known as the great pyramid,was built for king khufu.The second pyramid was built for king khafre,and the third and smallest one was built for king menkaure.The great pyramid was once the tallest structure in the world,it was 481 feet tall.The pyramid of khafre was 471 feet tall,and the pyramid of menkaure was 356 feet tall.The Pyramids of Giza are not as tall anymore because they have been almost entirely stripped of their outer casings of smooth white limestone.

The Valley of The Kings

The Valley of the Kings was built during the 16th century bce.They were hidden so that robbers couldn't find them.It was used as a burial place for pharaohs for over 500 years,and more than 60 tombs have been found there.King Tutankhamun's tomb was one of them.
